I wonder how many seeds are in a pumpkin?

Room 3 wondered how many seeds were in a pumpkin.  We went to investigate!

We read a story about pumpkins and printed off a picture of a pumpkin and went on a pumpkin hunt!

 

We looked all around our gardens trying to find a pumpkin.

We found one!

We all touched the pumpkin.

We cut up the pumpkin and took out the seeds.

We looked closely at the seeds.

We put the seeds on 10's frames so we could count in 10's to count the seeds.

Our pumpkin had 112 seeds!!!

A Visit From Laura

We asked the wonderful Laura to come in and speak to us as we had lots of questions about our school garden. She was helpful and answered all our questions. Why don't you come and see our "I wonder wall". You can see all of our questions and wonderings.

We have been asking "I wonder...." questions.  We wondered if our school chickens laid eggs.  We went to investigate!

Adventures in a Police car!

We had a fun adventure going in Constable Rob's Police car.  We sat in the Police car so we could show Constable Rob that we could sit in a car seat and do up our seatbelt.  We turned on the siren.  We then had fun dressing up in a Police uniform.

We crossed a Zebra Crossing

Because we are so clever, Constable Rob took us out so that we could learn how to cross a Zebra Crossing.  He was very impressed at how safe we were.  We remembered to STOP! LOOK! and LISTEN! We also learnt about SNEAKY driveways.  Why don't you ask us to tell you all about it.
