All of the children in Room 3 are trying very hard to be super sitters!

Drop! Cover! Hold!

This week we practiced how to protect ourselves in an earthquake.

Drop! to the ground

Cover! take cover under a table.  If there is no table then cover your face and head with your arms.

Hold! on to something sturdy.

Get, Set, Go!!!

On Thursday we had Get, Set, Go!!  Our Coach is called Fabian.  He taught us how to balance.  To be awesome at balancing we need to remember to:

*stand straight like a tree

*put our arms out like an aeroplane

*look straight ahead

Kids Art Works

Owairaka Friends of the School are fundraising with Kids Art Works.  Some of the children in Room 3 were very busy last term creating some beautiful art work.

Green/Gold Day!

Today is a day to celebrate!  Today is Green/Gold Day.  We are celebrating our very special school and its very special environment.
We went to Green/Gold Day assembly.  We wore our special Green hats that we made.

We are in charge of looking after the Butterfly Garden.  We did some weeding and some tidying up of the area.  In our class we have been working hard to remember that we mustn't touch the caterpillars!  It is our job to leave them on the plants so that they can grow into beautiful butterflies.

Spring fun with our buddy class

On Friday during Buddy Class we read a story about spring and daffodils.  We worked with our buddy to make a special daffodil to celebrate Daffodil Day.

Book Character Parade

On Friday we had a Book Character Parade.  We went to the hall and had a parade and a special assembly to celebrate Book Week. Here is Room 3 in their costumes!
